Job Details

General Summary: 

The Dollar General Corporate Events teams executes over 100 events annually ranging in size and scope. The ideal candidate will be a rising junior or senior interested in event planning and execution with the ability to be in Nashville area during the summer. Our largest annual event is scheduled for July 27 - August 2 and preference will be given to those candidates who are able to work through August 2.

 

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Assist the corporate events team in the planning and execution of various events and projects
  • Assist in the preparation of event related materials
  • Participate in event planning meetings and site visits
  • Draft event communications
  • Provide on-site event support as needed

Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Familiarity with events or desire to learn more about the event industry

Work Experience &/or Education: 

  • Rising college junior or senior
  • Ability to work at the Store Support Center in Goodlettsville, TN (Nashville area)
  • Availability through August 3
