General Summary: 

The Training Coordinator will support the coordination, enrollment, communication and reporting of Dollar General training initiatives. Responsibilities include coordinating in-person and virtual training sessions and providing customer service for users of our learning platform.

 

Duties & Responsibilities: 

  • Coordinate enrollment processes for supply chain training initiatives/events, utilizing the Learning Management System (LMS), Axonify.
    • Update/reschedule classes as needed based on trainer availability
    • Confirm trainer assignments based on class build, schedule
    • Maintain consistency in the application of training policy and seek approval for exceptions from key decision-makers (Director of Training, HR Directors, Legal)
    • Communicate via email or Microsoft Teams notifications of training
    • Provide customer service for users of Axonify.
  • Coordinate travel and lodging for the trainees and trainers as needed, including hotel confirmations, invoicing and accrual processing. Serve as point of contact for invoice reconciliation and preparation
  • Other responsibilities:
    • Create forms, reports, and supporting documents as needed/directed utilizing the Learning Management System and word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications
    • Respond to phone/email questions from supply-chain customers within same day/24 hours
    • Prepare, reconcile training rosters for measurement and reporting needs
    • Audit/track equipment needs, order as needed to support business demand
    • Compile and analyze data, timely and accurately.  Assemble reports to provide status updates on training, development and retention of all trainees and supported initiatives

Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: 

  • Experience with Learning Management System (LMS) including, but not limited to, the administration of system and report creation/maintenance. Axonify experience preferred
  • Strong organization, problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks
  • Demonstrated ability to react appropriately under pressure, apply good judgment and provide superior customer service
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong networking and follow-up skills
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work effectively as a member of a team
  • Ability to set schedule to meet performance demands
  • Serve as model of Dollar General mission and values
  • Strong computer skills (database, spreadsheet, presentation, and word processing applications)
  • Willingness to flex work schedule to accommodate distribution centers (DCs) with multiple shifts

Work Expereince &/or Education: 

  • Minimum 2-3 years in a related position, preferred. Knowledge and skills associated with an Associates Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
