General Summary: 

The Supply Chain Analytics Sr Manager is responsible for all aspects of reporting and analytics for supply chain. The primary function of this position is to ensure the creation of an effective strategy around reporting and analytics to drive inventory, transportation and distribution optimization and reduction of end-to-end supply chain costs. Lead training and development of team members to design, develop, and implement descriptive, predictive, and prescriptive models to meet analytical objectives for supply chain


Duties & Responsibilities:

§ Hire, Develop, and mentor a best-in-class team of Analysts. And works with the team and key stakeholders to plan, prioritize, and execute analytical and strategic data projects

§ Responsible for the design, development, and implementation of descriptive, predictive, and prescriptive models to meet analytical objectives for supply Chain

§ Complete ad-hoc analysis and reporting to support key supply chain initiatives and drive continuous improvement

§ Ensures a high degree of data quality and reporting accuracy, including implementing standards and processes such as data audits and reports and dashboards validation

§ Drives the simplification and automation of reports and dashboards used throughout supply chain departments and centralizes reporting within the team

§ Partners with supply chain, store operations, merchandising, and other department leadership in the development and deployment of process improvement initiatives.  Works with IT, finance and other support functions to remove constraints, justify investments, and implement solutions that improve service and reduce expense.


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

§  Programming experience, ideally with querying tools (e.g. SQL), data analysis tools (e.g. Python, R), and data visualization (e.g. Tableau, Power BI)

§  Ability to take complex analytics and be able to simplify and clearly communicate findings to leadership and other non-technical colleagues

§  Strong communication skills both written and verbal

§  Ability to lead presentations to various levels of management

§  Ability to quickly identify potential drivers of emerging problems, root cause, and generate solutions

§     Ability to partner, coordinate, and delegate to all levels of management

§  Ability to lead multiple priorities and projects

§  Design and execute appropriate analyses to size potential impact of problems or solutions

Work Experience &/or Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree required with emphasis in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Information Science, Business Intelligence or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in analytics or related data analytics field with most recent experience in leading a team of data analytics professionals.
  • Has a demonstrated history of building and/or managing high-performing analytics teams that drive actionable insights and measurable value from data.
  • Experience designing, developing and implementing descriptive, predictive, and descriptive analytical models
