    Job Details

    General Summary:

     

    Partners with Director Supply Chain Human Resources as part of a broader team responsible for all aspects of hiring Private Fleet Drivers within our Transportation organization. Provides professional consultation in areas related to recruiting, talent assessment, retention initiatives, and training. Assists the Director Supply Chain Human Resources in the management of human capital strategy and metrics. This role will lead full life-cycle recruitment efforts for DG Fleet Drivers focused on executing all aspects of the recruitment process including creating and executing sourcing strategies and leading the team of Fleet HR Representatives toward execution of human capital metrics.  

     

    Duties and Responsibilities:

     

    § Develop a best-in-class driver candidate experience while proposing process improvements that leverages the technology and support to scale for growth and build candidate relationships with the company

    § Lead and develop a high-performance team of Fleet HR Representatives

    § Create and maintain a market specific knowledge base that supplies the talent needs of the business model

    § Responsible for the creation and execution of driver retention strategies that promotes driver engagement, delivers workforce stability and achieves retention goals

    § Manage the fleet employee relations process in partnership with aligned store support center resources

     

    Qualifications

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

     

    § Experience conducting full life cycle recruiting across multiple locations

    § Extensive knowledge of state and federal employment laws

    § Ability to mediate between employees during conflict resolution

    § Ability to achieve measurable results through collaboration and influence

    § Exceptional planning, coordination, project management and implementation skills

    § Advanced ability to communicate with employees at all levels (both verbal and written communication skills)

    § Strong presentation skills

    § Extensive knowledge of employee relations practices and investigation skills for employee relations cases

     

    Work Experience and/or Education:

     

    • BS/BA in Business Administration, Human Resources or applicable training in these areas with another degree; equivalent work experience may be substituted for degree.
    • Proven track record of recruiting within an organization
    • Minimum of 3 years of experience with at least 2 years of recruiting
    • Strong sourcing background with experience filling roles in a scarce job market
    • Three to five years’ experience in benefits, employee relations, or as a human resources generalist
    • Ability to develop relationships and effectively influence with key stakeholders and candidates
    • Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills including strong communication skills

    Working Conditions:

     

    § Work is conducted in a remote office setting

    § Up to 50% travel required on a national scope to sites and partnership locations

    § Work conducted while traveling is in an office setting with exposure to tractor/trailer yard
