Responsible for preparing the annual reports and city and county income tax returns for filing with the appropriate jurisdictions. Creates and maintains various databases. Calculates and maintains records for federal and state tax credits. Assists with the filing of federal and state and other informational tax reports as required. Assists with preparation and input of deferred and current income tax items into the tax provision and income tax return software.
§ Preparation and payment remittance of all local income tax returns.
§ Calculates and maintains records for federal and state tax credits.
§ Prepare, file, and remit payments on all applicable corporate annual reports with the corresponding taxing jurisdiction.
§ Prepare, file, and remit payments on all assumed name certificates.
§ Creates and maintains databases such as fixed assets, assessments/refunds, and filing due dates.
§ Assists with gathering data, preparing support schedules, and/or data input for both federal and state income tax provisions and/or tax returns.
§ Processes ACH payment and journal entry load files for the department.
§ Assists with special projects as needed.
Bachelors degree in accounting preferred with 0-2 years of experience. Tax experience preferred. Microsoft Access database experience required. Onesource tax provision/income tax software experience a plus.
