    General Summary:

    Supervises team workload in the filing, processing and remitting of appropriate payments to comply with the rules and regulations as prescribed in each jurisdiction.  Helps to maintain license. Helps to identify process improvements and implements them based upon recommendations from management.

    Job Details

    § Leads, trains and mentors team members ensuring that a balanced, coordinated work load is carried by all team members. Coordinates and implements process improvements.

    § Coordinates, processes and remits all license applications for initial licensing and renewals. Processes property tax payments in the property tax system. Fully coordinates daily processes with third party law firms for beer and wine licensing.

    § Maintains the license database to account for all license jurisdictions, applications and payments. Maintains unclaimed property processes to ensure accurate reporting to individual states.

    § Facilitates and assists with accruals and budgets and audits.

    § Reviews license and property tax payments for accuracy of charges based on historical and/or third party data.

    § Researches and resolves license and property tax notices.

    § Coordinates and advise Store Operations and Construction departments on beer and wine and business license applications and property taxes for new stores.

    § Assists with property tax audits, business license audits, EBT, and unclaimed property tasks.   Assists with processing electronic funds transfer (EFT) and ACH payments as directed.

    § Assists with special projects as needed.

    § Ability to manage multiple tasks

    § Ability to set and meet deadlines

    § Good organizational, planning and prioritizing skills

    § Ability to lead people and manage multiple processes

    § Ability to work proficiently with word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications

    § Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in written form

     

    Work Experience/Education:

    Bachelor’s degree in business or extensive experience in a related field in lieu of a degree preferred. Two to four years of experience within a progressively increasing accounting/finance position. Two to three years of supervisory experience required or equivalent experience in a fast-paced environment. Experience in licensing helpful.
