Job Details

General Summary:

Oversees and manages the Human Capital Metrics function and human resources communications and technologies. Ensures that relevant metrics and trends are identified and reported. Responsible for design and continuous improvement of the HR reporting and metrics processes, quality standards, projects and deliverables and team development.


Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to business strategy by partnering with business leaders to build organizational capabilities through analysis and commentary on trends discovered in HR data sources.
  • Forge relationships with HR leaders, business leaders and stakeholders to understand strategic objectives.
  • Align team projects and deliverables with operating priorities. Define, communicate and ensure compliance to HR reporting quality standards.
  • Develop, maintain and continuously improve reporting processes for the HR team. Understand and reconcile the gaps, overlaps, and inconsistencies among varied data sets and reporting tools.
  • Create regular and ad hoc reporting on relevant HT metrics that summarize data and key trends.
  • Ensure up-to-date documentation library with detailed reporting processes is maintained.
  • Delivers technical human resource solutions that support business goals and initiatives, including employee portal, case management and self-service reporting software.


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Expansive knowledge of business intelligence and data analysis strategies with a business and/or financial acumen
  • Familiarity of human resources and payroll system utilization and processes
  • Ability to translate data into information for end users
  • Strong consultative skills focusing on developing solutions to meet end users information needs
  • Exercises judgment in setting priorities while managing multiple projects with tight deadline and time constraints
  • Demonstrated project management skills
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including the ability to develop advanced spreadsheet manipulations and mathematical formulas
  • Ability to synthesize large amounts of data with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to manage ambiguity, risk and changing direction of projects and strategies
  • Strong problem solving, critical thinking, analytical, and organization skills
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate analytics to a non-technical audience; ability to effectively communicate across all levels of management
  • Experience in report writer products to extract, aggregate, normalize and mine data sets for analysis

Work Experience &/or Education:

Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business, statistics, finance, or related field, or equivalent experience, required; Master’s degree preferred. Five to seven years experience reporting and analyzing Human Capital Management data structures. Project management experience preferred. HR, finance/accounting or statistical experience preferred.
