Job Details

General Summary:

Responsible for leading a team in invoice processing, budget planning and forecasting, execution of national account service scope, and remodel analysis. Manages project closeout process to ensure all lease requirements for completion are met and information is passed to appropriate stakeholders. Serves as operations improvement and support leader for the construction operations and field teams. Executes departmental reporting, tracking, and analysis, including weekly communication, with all stakeholders.


Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Serves as primary leader for monthly, quarterly, and annual budget planning and forecasting of annual development spend as it pertains to capital and expense accounts. Leads period capital review process and meeting with development leadership team and all directors. Leads initiatives to continually improve forecasting accuracy through the creation and improvement to budgeting tools and reports. Monitors cost and spending trends, and makes recommendations for adjustments and cost improvement opportunities. Acts as key contact person to research, collect, and analyze financial data as necessary. Manages the invoice coordinating staff in the processing of invoices, monitoring controls, administration, and process enhancement.
  • Serves as operations and process support leader on store openings and remodels for developers, contractors and national account suppliers to include assisting in supporting the scope of work process and workflow and process/tool support. Leads initiatives in process simplification and automation to streamline or improve department efficiencies. Administers general contractor on-boarding process and pre-qualification, as well as contract compliance.
  • Serves as primary contact for construction national account providers to include low voltage vendors and exterior sign vendors. Ensures scope and process are fully documented and communicated to all stakeholders, manages and validates scope compliance and contract terms, stewards annual budget and forecasting for exterior sign installation, manages and directs sign team, and leads process improvement initiatives relative to cost reduction efforts. Leads team in execution of scope to accommodate store openings and remodels.
  • Responsible for departmental reporting and tracking. Executes and maintains pipeline reporting tools, weekly reports, cross-functional communication processes. Manages implementation and administration of internal database programs. Effectively and accurately researches, collects and analyzes data for special project and ad hoc reporting needs.

  • Knowledge of accounting terminology, best practices, and internal controls.
  • Intermediate skill in word processing and database computer applications; advanced knowledge of building formulas and macros
  • Knowledge of basic query building techniques and basic programming within database applications, to include advanced formula building capabilities and SQL statements
  • Ability to program within Visual Basic for Applications (preferred)
  • Ability to develop, train and motivate staff for success
  • Ability to partner, coordinate and delegate to all levels of management

Work Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, or management and at least five years of operations management related experience required (equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted). Retail construction background with a focus in contract or lease negotiation required.
