Job Details

General Summary:

The Store Operations Sr. Manager of Workforce Management is responsible for managing retail labor budgets and the employee scheduling system for over 14,500 stores. It is a high visibility 50% finance / 50% operations role requiring strong technical, analytical and communication skills.


Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Manage the retail labor budget, including creation of budgets, store schedules, and weekly reporting of labor expenses
  • Communicate with and train field leadership on proper management of labor
  • Perform financial analysis to better allocate labor to drive operational efficiency
  • Manage labor standards and work drivers
  • Manage and present projects related to workforce management
  • Provide leadership support, coaching and development to Store Operations analysts


Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Experience managing budgets and financial analysis
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, PowerPoint, and MS Project or Smartsheet
  • Proficiency uses databases such as SQL and Access to analyze data proactively and independently identify trends and exceptions (1010data significant plus)
  • Experience using a WFM system such as Reflexis is a significant plus
  • Experience managing time & labor studies in a retail environment
  • Excellent time management, prioritization and communication
  • Comfortable training and presenting to field leadership
  • Strong understanding of retail operations, preferably at a large chain of small format stores

Work Experience &/or Education:

Bachelor’s degree in business or other related field required, MBA preferred. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a sr. financial analyst or financial manager role managing budgets and forecasts. Retail operations management and/or industrial engineering (for retail labor standards) a plus.
