Job Details

Duties & Responsibilities:

 

  • Consult with all levels of management to design base pay and short-term pay programs that address business needs, maintain a competitive position in the market and remain fiscally responsible with the company’s resources.
  • Manage the job analysis, documentation and evaluation of all jobs to determine the appropriate compensation level within the organization structure.
  • Manage the annual salary planning process including payroll budgeting and salary structure / merit increase wage pool analysis and recommendations.
  • Manage the implementation and administration of long-term pay programs.
  • Manage the implementation and communication of short-term pay programs.
  • Assist Sr. Director in the analysis, evaluation, implementation and administration of long-term and executive compensation pay programs.
  • Participate in other compensation related projects by providing research, analysis, reporting, recommendations, and project management as needed.
  • Maintain a current knowledge of state and federal laws that affect compensation programs.

Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

 

  • Excellent Communication skills, ability to effectively communicate with all levels within corporation
  • Demonstrated strong interpersonal and customer service skills including a willingness to consistently provide responsive service, the ability to react appropriately under pressure, the ability to negotiate and apply good judgment in ambiguous situations, and demonstrated flexibility/adaptability
  • Advanced analytical skills sufficient to conduct thorough research, determine relevance of data, interpret meaning of data and make recommendations for policy changes
  • Demonstrated statistical skills sufficient to allow accurate interpretation and application of advanced statistical data
  • Spreadsheet skills including complex manipulations, creating mathematical formulas, and producing presentation-quality materials
  • Excellent organizational skills including the ability to balance multiple, diverse projects in a fast-paced environment, producing quality results in short timeframes
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively work in collaboration with others and develop business partnerships
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidential information in a sensitive and appropriate manner

 

Work Experience &/or Education:

 

Bachelor’s degree required, plus 8 years human resources experience, including experience managing a compensation function or part of a compensation function preferred. CCP preferred.
