Job Details

Provide support to four attorneys and one paralegal in the business law department.



  • Process all requests for contract review from other business departments and facilitate execution.                
  • Process all store communications to the legal department (within 24 hours of receiving).                                
  • Process all service of process documents for new lawsuits, violations and demands.                                     
  • Upload/maintain all executed contracts in database and hard copy files.                                                       
  • Provide general administrative support including preparing expense reports, booking travel, investigating facts gathering information. 
  • Process invoices/send accrual reminder e-mails/help manage outside law firm accruals.
  • Maintain calendars and assist with scheduling meetings.
  • Answer calls for attorneys.
  • Maintain expense reports and travel files.
  • Prepare charts, spreadsheets, powerpoint presentations and exhibits.
  • Maintain all open business litigation matters in Lexis.


  • Excellent organizational skills; ability to perform multiple duties simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs including Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook; high proficiency in Word, particularly advanced table functions.
  • Ability to proofread.
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions.
  • Ability to maintain complete confidentiality.
  • Ability to analyze a situation and provide assistance.
  • Ability to communicate professionally with officers and senior management of the company.

Work Experience and/or Education

  • Legal assistant experience required
  • College degree preferred.
