Job Details

Provides support for the execution, analysis and reporting of various business operations related to regulatory compliance, quality and sourcing activities for the Dollar General Global Compliance team. Executes the monitoring, measuring, analysis and reporting of performance metrics for all current compliance programs. Responsible for the communication interfaces between Global Compliance and all internal and external partners.




Vendor, Factory and Product Compliance

  • Provides support in the areas of vendor/factory and product compliance programs necessary to support corporate regulatory compliance requirements for all import and domestic product.
  • Requests, collects, analyzes and manages information from Domestic Vendors in order to evaluate on-going regulatory compliance including but not limited to Master Supplier Agreements, Product Liability Insurance Certificates, Product specific Certifications (CPC’s/GCC’s), and audit reports/certificates specific to Dollar General requirements (i.e. GFSI Global Food Safety Initiative).
  • Daily monitoring of Vendor communications regarding the Global Compliance processes and requirements.
  • Respond/reply to vendor questions regarding Global Compliance Processes and Procedure


Performance Management, Analysis and Reporting


  • Responsible for the analysis and reporting of performance measurements for Domestic Vendor Compliance
  • Support in the data collection and analysis for Domestic and Import Vendor and Factory Score Carding
  • Create, manage and generate various ad-hoc reports based on performance requirement and measurements provided by DG Supply Chain management.

Process Management, Analysis, Reporting, and Training

  • Manage content and posting of Vendor Manuals
  • Manage content for the Global Compliance Intranet site (DGe)
  • Manage content for the Global Compliance information on DG Partners website
  • Identify and organize Global Compliance Training modules
  • Create and manage specific reports for Sr. Management (Allegations, Recall Effectiveness, Blacklisted and Suspended Suppliers and Manufacturing Facilities)




§  Ability to multi-task, and ensure proper completion of tasks; ability to manage own time effectively

§  Excellent organization and administrative skills

§  Good interpersonal and communications skills for communication with Merchandising Department and Distribution Centers and relaying information effectively between internal and external sources

§  Effective verbal and written communication skills

§  Computer skills required, including word processing, spreadsheet, and access database applications

§  Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

§  Ability to utilize electronic tools, Internet, and spreadsheet and access database programs. Able to work on Windows-based PCs; able to learn new software systems



Work Experience and/or Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in an analytical or technical field required. An equivalent combination of education and work experience (minimum of 5 years data processing, analysis, and management reporting). 
  • Basic knowledge of product safety/regulatory agencies (CPSC, FDA, EPA, etc…) and how they function within the Global Supply chain.
