General Summary

Serves as the primary support for the Director of Construction and Construction field team coordinating new build to suit, relocations, expansion and special projects. Responsible for tracking construction projects from initiation of the scope of work process through final project closeout.



  • As the primary point of contact, verifies completion of critical tasks and proactively supports all stakeholders involved on projects to include the Director of Construction, Project Managers, contractors, Operations, developers/general contractors, architects/engineers, code officials, landlords, and DG functional partners. Leverages continuous communication to coordinate project execution, resolve site specific issues, and track and monitor progress throughout the project life cycle.
  • Tracks and reports store openings during each monthly wave. Researches, analyzes, reports and follows-up on construction issues to ensure timely and complete store openings and to prevent store opening delays. Coordinates issue resolution with appropriate parties and/or escalates to appropriate levels to address and track until completion.
  • Manages construction documents for pipeline management and forecasting process to include project progress reports, flag status reports, and weekly store move sheets to ensure seamless interdepartmental communication.
  • Assists the Construction leadership team in assembling and tracking key documents and databases. Acts as the primary keeper of construction administration documents for Real Estate Committee (REC), conventional project cost control, post-REC cost/budget follow up, DG contractor database tracking, and first point-of-contact for new general contractor qualification packages.
  • Serves as administrative point-of-contact for the fee development program. Assembles and tracks key documents from REC approval through project close-out to include, but not limited to, preliminary budget form, authorization to proceed with construction documents, contractor qualification, authorization to close, weekly schedule updates, and progress photos.
  • Acts as primary driver of construction close-out process to insure that all critical documents are received and reviewed by the appropriate stakeholders, and all follow-up is complete.


  • Proficient in organization and time management, with ability to manage multiple priorities and provide timely and accurate project status reporting
  • Ability to work proactively, collaboratively and independently in a fast-paced environment with a high sense of urgency and minimum supervision
  • Experience in an Accruent-based software, preferably SLM (Store Lifecyle Management)
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office software and experience in database applications
  • Thorough working knowledge of construction processes and terms with the ability to understand, apply, and adhere to construction processes and procedures
  • Strong interpersonal, teamwork, collaboration, and communications skills
  • Ability to anticipate issues and ask the right questions to surface and resolve issues ; persistent and strong follow up tools/mechanisms to see things through to closure

Work Experience and/or Education

Bachelor Degree preferred. Minimum of 2-4 years experience as a construction coordinator or administrative assistant with emphasis in high project volume commercial retail construction or high volume retail process improvement is required.
